Privacy Policy — Netsoft GPS Bus

This Privacy Policy describes how Netsoft ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information in the Netsoft Parent and Netsoft Driver mobile applications (the "Apps") and the related school dashboard (together, the "Service"). The Service helps schools manage bus transport and lets parents follow their child's school bus in real time.

1. Information We Collect

The Netsoft Parent app does not track the parent's location. Background location is collected only in the Netsoft Driver app, only while the driver has an active trip, so that the school and parents can see where the bus is.

2. How We Use Information

To show the live position of the school bus to authorized parents and school staff.
To send notifications about the bus (approaching, arrived, child boarded / dropped off / absent).
To build attendance reports for the school.
To operate, maintain, and secure the Service.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

3. Data Sharing

Bus location is visible only to the school's authorized staff and to parents of students assigned to that bus.
A student's events and information are visible only to that student's parent and the school.
We use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging solely to deliver push notifications.
We may disclose information if required by law.

We do not share personal data with any other third parties.

4. Data Security

All traffic between the Apps and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
Passwords are stored hashed; access to data is restricted by role-based permissions.
Data is stored on secured servers with access limited to authorized personnel.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Account and attendance data are kept while the school's subscription is active. Live bus locations are transient and are not kept as a permanent movement history of individuals. When a school or parent account is removed, the associated personal data is deleted from our active systems within 30 days.

You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us at the address below; we will complete the request within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

The Apps are intended for use by adults (parents, guardians, drivers, and school staff). Children do not use the Apps themselves. Student information (name, class, pickup point, boarding events) is entered and managed by the school under its agreement with the parents, and is used only to operate the bus service.

7. Permissions Used by the Apps

Location — Netsoft Driver: to share the bus position during trips (including in the background while a trip is active). Netsoft Parent: only to show your position on the map; never tracked or uploaded continuously.
Notifications — to deliver bus and attendance alerts.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page, and the "Last updated" date will be revised.
